The Bowden BMW M1 Procar made its public debut at the recent Sydney Retro Speedfest and here we chat with Chris Bowden about how they found the car and then brought it back to its original 1979 Procar specifications

One of the special entries at the recent Sydney Retro Speedfest, held at Sydney Motorsport Park, was the 1979 BMW M1 Procar owned by Dave and Chris Bowden. Following a seven-month restoration project to bring the car back to its Group 4/Procar specs, the M1 had its public unveiling at the event.

We sat down with Chris Bowden at the track as he explains the story of how they came across the M1 and what it took to get the car back to its original 1979 spec.
