The mighty Barracuda spawned lots of variants.

1970-72 'Cudas are hard to find in the Australian market but prices for 318/383-engined cars are in line with the money being paid in the USA.

We didn’t spot any of the desirable AAR competition 'Cudas or 440-engined ‘Six Pack’ cars here so importing is the way if you want one.

'Cudas with replacement ‘street Hemi’ engines are less expensive but also offered less kudos than those with a factory-correct 426.

Sourced from the USA they will cost US$200-300,000.

Earlier 1967-69 Barracudas were similar in size to Australia’s Valiant and very few came here when new.

Prices are difficult to follow and it’s likely that a very good 383-engined hardtop may cost less than $50,000.

Big-block convertibles are scarce and might make $90,000.
