TWO OWNERS FROM NEW, MkI WITH OVERDRIVE
A True Phenomenon, the Humble MG B would prove itself to be The Iconic British Roadster, with its Perfect Balance of Performance, Comfort, Reliability and Serviceability. So Popular was the B that Production Spanned 17 Years with Only Small Updates in production, with a Final Build Count of Over Half a Million!
This Lovely Late MkI MGB was Purchased New by Edwin A. Graham of San Rafael, California in February of 1966, Finished in Mineral Blue with Optional Overdrive. Supported by Edwins Original BMC Customer Identification Plate and the MGs Californian Title (Pink Slip) we can confirm that Edwin Sold the MG to a broker in June 1990 after 24 Years of Ownership.
Imported into Australia with two other MGBs, with its Import Approval dated the 31st of August 1990, the Blue MkI made its way to its Sole Australian Owner. Converted to RHD, with Full Engineering dated the 18th of December 1991, the MG would be First Registered in Australia on the 9th of February 1992 with the Victorian Personalised Plates JM066.
A Handwritten Document shows Restoration Works/Costs, without dates, these include an Engine Overhaul, Re-Paint and Trim work. Mechanically the MG Presents in Very Original Specification, including the Fitment of a Laycock Overdrive, Allowing You an Honest and Original driving Experience, just as the MG would have Rolled Off the Production Line.
The Colour coded Interior Features, Headrest Equipped Blue Leather seats, Blue Vinyl Door Cards, Blue Carpets, a Blue Leather Racemark Steering Wheel, a Chrome Roll Bar and Inertial Reel Seat Belts. To Protect both the Occupants and the Interior Trim the MG has both a Black Vinyl Soft Top and Tonneau Cover, both Stowed Safely in the boot.
